These men and women provide hospitality to our liturgical celebrations by assisting with seating, taking up the collection, and directing both the Offertory and Communion processions. Ushers also greet our faith community at the entrance to the church before each Mass, distribute the weekly bulletin and other materials. They also tidy up our worship space before and after each Mass, so that the area always is neat and inviting. Training is provided and both adult and teen volunteers are welcome. Questions? Contact Robert Nyberg (English), Eddie Roque (Spanish), or click here to join.
Sacristans serve the Lord behind the scenes and help make the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass a special occasion by either: (1) setting up of all sacred vessels and linens for Mass followed by the purification of linens and vessels after Mass or (2) being responsible for the washing and ironing of altar linens. Volunteers are trained and assigned to a specific Mass and the specific folding of all altar linens. Sacristans can perform either one function or both. Linens to be laundered are to be picked up on Monday and are to be returned by Wednesday. For FAQs and more info about the Sacristan Ministry click here
