The Finance Council is responsible for budgeting, reporting and analyzing all parish financial data, including all parish organizations with separate checking accounts, which must be audited annually by the council. The council has the responsibility to keep the parishioners updated on the financial condition of the parish. They guarantee that all parish accounting systems are operating in accordance with prescribed procedures and advise the pastor in fulfilling his fiduciary responsibilities. Members are appointed by the pastor. They must be Catholic and have proven skills in financial and/or business administration. Members meet once a month (more frequently during budget preparation), and serve a 3 year term. They are listed in the back of the weekly bulletin, which you can download below. For more information, contact Father Justin.
The Parish Pastoral Council is a collaborative effort of clergy and laity in the evangelization and sanctification tasks of the Church. They provide the pastor with the wise council of a Spirit filled community and assist him in the pastoral direction and prudent administration of both the human and material resources of the parish. Any registered, fully initiated (baptized and confirmed) practicing Catholic of at least 18 years of age, in full communion with the Church, and of proven faith and morals is eligible for membership. New members are selected by lottery on Pentecost Sunday. Current members are listed in the back of the weekly bulletin, which you can download below.
The Stewardship Committee seeks to bond the parish together by instilling a sense of ownership of the parish mission. Members assist the pastor in educating parishioners about the responsible use of their God given gifts, and in particular the sacrificial giving of their time, talent and treasure in service to the parish community. Members organize the bi-annual Time and Talent Fair and brochure, and the annual Review of Treasure Covenants. For more information contact the office at 949-4565.
